It isn’t today that Netflix is investing in stand-up. After the Year-Round Special with Clarice Falcão, it’s Lynne Koplitz’s turn to have her special. With jokes mostly focused on the differences in behavior of men and women, Lynne brings the audience to laughter talking about relationships and family, as well as comments about their age and their choice of not having children.
Lynne Koplitz is an American comedian and actress and became best known for hosting the nationwide syndicated dating show Telepictures Change of Heart, in addition to the invitation she received from NBC’s next. Their stand-ups appeared in a number of Comedy Central specials, including Premium Blend.
In her new show, Lynne abuses much of the theme that spans all stand-up minutes: the behavioral difference of men and women. Unlike other comedians who have worked for Netflix, it does not show great ease for interdisciplinary subjects, getting off topic.
On the other hand, his jokes sound natural, which ensures with greater certainty that he will succeed with the audience live or on the Streaming platform. Lynne does not use offensive tones, but delivers a gentle special and not too long.
Overall, Lynne Koplitz: Hormonal Beast is a good special. Far from being the best of all time, Lynne knows how to guide the audience to where she wants to make a joke.
