It begins with the mood of “Apocalypse Now”: the 1970s-era ambiance, military helicopters over the jungle, fire under water, a sect in the woods … But it’s King Kong. The new trailer for “Kong: The Island of the Skull”, released this Thursday (17) on the internet, drinks from many of the references of Francis Ford Coppola’s classic.
The plot, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts ( “The Kings of the Summer”), puts a group of people, that includes American soldiers, in that Skull Island, where the monster lives. Oscar winner Brie Larson, along with Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly and Tom Hiddleston are in the cast.
The new film “Kong” premieres March 9, 2017 in Brazil, remembering that the date may change.
